Privacy Policy

Who we are
SiteMeld is a UK temporary construction-site services procurement platform. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have over it, under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect and why
- Contractor accounts
- Name, email address, and company name, to create your account and let you save sites, submit multi-service requests, and receive quotes.
- Supplier claims
- Name, email address, and phone number of the person claiming a business listing, and the evidence provided to verify that claim, so we can confirm you're authorised to represent that business.
- Business directory data
- Publicly available business information (name, phone, email, website, service area) sourced from public records or the business's own public website, or provided directly by a business that claims its own listing.
- Usage analytics
- Searches (postcode and service category, not tied to an account unless you're signed in) and supplier-contact actions (profile views, contact clicks, quote requests), so we can measure whether the platform is actually connecting contractors with suppliers and where supplier coverage is missing.
Lawful basis
Contractor and supplier account data is processed under contract (to provide the service you signed up for). Publicly sourced business directory data is processed under legitimate interests — it is factual public business information, and any business can request a correction or removal at any time (see below).
Who we share data with
Your data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider. We do not sell personal data to third parties. If we activate a transactional email provider or a web-analytics tool in the future, this policy will be updated to name them before they go live.
How long we keep data
Account and request data is kept for as long as your account is active. Deactivated supplier listings are marked inactive rather than deleted, to preserve a genuine audit trail, unless a deletion request is made (see below). Analytics events are retained in aggregate to measure platform performance over time.
Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time. For a business listing, use the "request a correction" link on that listing's page. For account data, contact us at the address below. A genuine deletion request for personal data will be honoured; factual, publicly available company-register information may be retained separately where appropriate.
